Design and Performance Investigation of a Solar- Powered Biological Greywater Treatment System in the Iraqi Climate

The increase in population resulted an the consumption of water. present work investigates performance a recycling solar- powered greywater treatment system for purposes irrigation, used to reduce amount waste grey water and electricity costs constructing large scale plants. consumes about 3814W per hour provides 1.4 m3 day. proposed is designed residential, office governmental buildings application. Tests are conducted building at Ministry Science Technology site Baghdad. Laboratorial samples testing analyses measuring COD, BOD5, TDS, NH4, NO3-TN, TOC, TSS, pH oil grease content according Iraqi standards. Test results revealed huge decrease values BOD5 COD readings every15 days period 5 months by removing rate more than 90% also noting TOC 80%, this indicates that Laboratory have proved success process. research divided into two parts, theoretical practical. one includes choosing type size equipment required tools system.
